What is the philosophy of use for Code Kit PRO organizers?
Do absolutely everything possible before the emergency occurs. If any step toward actual use can be taken beforehand, short of opening a sterile item, do it. You bring the pre-set readiness of the Operating Room to the scene of the emergency.Back to top
How were these kits developed?
The process is solution-driven design, where form follows function.Back to top
Do Code Kit PRO organizers replace kits in ambulances?
Yes, in that they replace the pediatric bag or tackle box. Place the contents of those satchels into Code Kit PRO organizers to have your items instantly ready, at your fingertips, by their anatomical sites of use.Back to top
Are these kits for ALS/Paramedic ambulances only?
No. The Infant-PRO organizer makes a particularly good OB kit (and infant “care station”) for BLS obstetric calls.Back to top
Are Code Kit PRO organizers compatible with hospital cart systems?
Yes. The Pedi-PRO and Infant-PRO organizers can be stocked with front-line items and placed on top of the cart. When the emergency hits, grab the Code Kit and run to the patient. The cart can follow.Back to top
Are these kits sold already stocked?
Generally no, as most units already have the equipment and supplies they use. Special contracts for stocked units can be considered for governmental, military or NGO relief agencies.Back to top
Why are the bags so, well, baggy?
The storage bags are oversized to assure the kit comes out of the bag easily. Avoid the urge to overstuff the organizers or place additional separate items in the storage bags.Back to top
Why are these kits made of Coroplast?
Coroplast is a high impact plastic wonderfully suited for these applications due to its light weight, structural support and protective qualities. This polypropylene copolymer is also the base material for certain surgical suture, hernia mesh, syringes and vials because it is safe for patient contact.Back to top
Are Code Kit PRO organizers Latex Free?
Yes. All of our products are free of Natural Rubber Latex (NRL).Back to top
Why do these devices have expiration dates?
The expiration dates are calculated to be within component aging expectations. The performance of plastics and adhesives change with time, temperature variations and duty cycling.Back to top
Are Code Kit PRO organizers reusable?
Yes. The organizer bases are reusable yet disposable, or “reposable.” The patient pads are single use disposable items. Replacement pads are available.Back to top
Can these kits be sterilized?
No. The kits should be disinfected before re-use as described in the Instructions for Use but are not intended for sterilization.Back to top
Are these kits recyclable?
Yes. The Pedi-PRO and the Infant -PRO organizers themselves can be recycled. Note that the nylon straps and storage bags are not recyclable in most areas.Back to top
What about tax-exempt orders?
Code Kit PRO is a Pennsylvania corporation, so customers outside of PA are not taxed.
Pennsylvania organizations wishing to use tax exempt status may contact us by emailing email@example.com prior to ordering. PA taxes will not be refunded after a sale.Back to top
